My Utopia

In one of the English lessons this week, my EL teacher asked the whole class to think and write about what is our own utopia. So here's mine:

In my utopia, there should be fairness and proper use of advanced technology.

Fairness and justice is what we could see in the real world, in countries like Singapore, our home. However, there are still many people in the world suffering poverty because of the corruption and emblezzlement committed among their leaders. There are still many people in the world who are suffering in wars caused by their government. There are still many people in the world who are victims of sexual and child abuse. There are just still too much injustice and unfairness occuring in the world to be listed.

Why should people suffer the consequences of what they haven't done? Why should young children be the victims of child abuse and even, sexual abuse? Why should the lives of these people be so hard?
...Who knows?....

There are things that are just so unfair. But in fact, nothing is fair in the world. Here we are, using the internet with a computer, blogging and email-ing, enjoying the joy of living on Earth with abundant entertainment. There they are, running for their lives, enduring hunger and also, the fear of the lost of another beloved one...it just ain't fair.

Therefore, Fairness and Justice, leading to Happiness, would thrive in my utopia.

The next aspect would be the proper use of advanced techonology. Many countries, such as Iraq and South Korea, are turning into a nuclear power country. Why must the world have nuclear energy? For defence? For war? For money? For superiority?

Many criminals use the internet to commit crimes that includes hacking of systems, circulation of computer viruses and lastly, luring young and foolish teenagers to meet them followed by cheating them of their money and even turn into rape and murder. These are just ruthless ways to cheat and destroy properties and also lives of others.
