You have served me well

This is a poem, by me, again. I got the inspiration for this poem when I changed shoes. So, enjoy! :)

You have served me well

You have served me well.

I recalled that when I first received you
I thought that you were magnificent.

You had colours that deeply attracted me
you had a design that was unique and special
at least to me.

I treated you,
as a symbol of love from my parents,
because they never got anything like you
for me.

You not only had the external features
you had the softness
you had the grip
you had the size
that perfectly suits me.

I cared about you
I washed you
I polished you
I admired you
I appreciated you
as a way of reciprocating your help to me.

You ran with me
walked with me
jumped with me
trudged with me
climbed with me
no matter where I go
you would support me.

But now,
you could no longer support me
and neither can I care for you
you have gone
you have been brought away
or should I say,
you have been stolen away
from me.

But now,
no matter where you are,
no matter who you are with,
no matter what,
I just wrote
to say that
you
have served me
well.
