The power of 10 cents and the magical thing about giving

Hi guys,

It has been a long time since I last posted an entry. I was incredibly busy for the past few weeks, rushing through projects after projects...

So now I'm going to share an incident that happened yesterday while I was making my way to Toa Payoh....

I boarded the bus in my Orange T and black long pants with my $1.50-wallet in my hand. Instinctively, I brought my wallet to the card reader and alas, the card reader beeped several times, screaming at me that I had 0 dollars and 0 cents in my card and how dare me enter the bus without a single "milli-cent" in my darn card.

I stepped back, overpowered by the scream and looked for 55 cents in my wallet. Thank God I had coins with me. There you go! The card reader which was still burning with fury kept absolute silence while I offered the coin box its meal.

I got my ticket, scanned the bus for the seat and got one quickly. I checked my wallet to see if I have enough for the next trip when I transfer buses but to my dismay, there was only 45 cents left...Hmm... let's borrow 10 cents... but wait, what if there were people like the card reader? God... how I wished I had just a 10-cent coin with me...

I alighted at the Tanglin Community Club and crossed over to take bus 105/153.... Didn't think much then. Trying my best to keep my cool I approached a middle-aged lady... "Hi, do you have 10 cents to spare because I happen to have only 45 cents with me and there's no value left in my card." The moment the lady smiled I knew the disaster was over... "Thank you so much!" "Yeah, it's okay"

So I carried on my journey...

Hav a nice time
bye for now
