Hosting COCB Students

Hi Guys,

*Sigh* Today's the last day the COCB students are staying in Singapore. I've hosted them for the past three days, reaching home at like 10pm everyday. However, despite having to go through all these, I've really enjoyed myself, interacting with them and getting to know them. Besides, I get to visit places like the Singapore Flyer, the Tea Chapter, the NEWater Plant, VivoCity and many more places. The aussie students are really good at shopping... they could shop for hours after hours non-stop... But yeah, Singaporeans do that too right?

Anyway, it has been a great experience for me to host them. The COCB students are very amiable people and so it's easy to socialise with them and get into conversations. Though the majority of the students who came are females, it didn't really affect the way we communicate or relate to each other.

I hope that I can have many more of such experiences, but meanwhile, the exams are coming up and (sighs) I'd need to prepare for them first...

The photos of this hosting will be up pretty much later on my facebook.

Bye!

HCICO-NYCO MAF 08

Hi Guys,

Recently, HCICO and NYCO just had a day of interaction, in the name of celebrating Mid Autumn Festival together. I think students from both of the school enjoyed themselves. Of course, it is natural for students from both schools to feel shy, but things got better as the day advances. The committee has done a good job putting up team-bonding games and students get closer to each other (please do not get my wrong here).

I was the photographer for the event. Had to run around the whole school, snapping photos of shy students (but more often than not, because of my superb photography skills, they can't escape from my clutches :) ). So yeah, I'm not in any of the photos... :)

I guess MAF is a good event to interact with other schools. Interacting with a school with students of a different gender would be frowned upon by students from both sides at first, but with well-planned activities and time, students from both sides would get along very well. Friends can be made to increase one's network of friends, which is pretty important.

Admiring the participants who had all the fun, I'm really reluctant to be the photographer again...

Oh yea, by the way, HCI C. orchestra spent about $200 on the gift for NYCO... wow, right?

ah, whatever... Just being random. :)

Anyway, good luck to everyone who is taking their EOY exams soon... (trying to find time to mug... but time just flies too fast for me to do so... ( tcc: "You must be joking! 1 day 24 hours how to not find time to study to tell me?") lol

OH, before I forget, I'm setting up a Facebook accnt... so all the photos that I have taken would be there :)

Good Luck too all of you for the EOY exams!
